It’s all about the weather
It’s been a long time since the last update on my blog, mainly because nothing special has happened and really not much has been done.
This time of year, we normally have enough of snow and temperatures down to minus 20. This year not.
Weather has been really peculiar. Nearly all days of January so far have had temperatures varying between plus 5 and 10. Weather has also been varying, mostly sunny, but days with heavy winds and rain. Lawns are now greener than midsummer because they have sun and enough moisture.

We also took a trip up to the summerhouse to check how all is. The summerhouse is a 2 hour drive up from our home. There is still some snow up there, but not much. The existing snow has been kind of polished to an icy surface because of the sun and winds. The lake is still frozen, but all snow on top of it has melted and turned into ice. It looks like a giant speed-skating arena.

We are kind of lucky not having experienced the extreme weather they have had in Cyprus. The weather has been extreme hear too, but mainly on the west coast.
To get the time going, Tove and I have had some odd jobs with a few challenges. Tove took on the task of making a ball gown for the prom at school for Estelle, our new bonus grand child, while I found it was timely to re-tile our kitchen. The old tiling was 30 years old.

Tiling was finished yesterday after applying silikon in the corners (hate this job). It’s time now to move down to Cyprus and check out the climate there.

Hei Geir.
Hyggelig at dere vil prøve en ferie her nede og bare synd at vi ikke kan være her da.
Jeg skal forsøke litt senere å sette opp en liste og sende deg om ting og tang i området.
