16th of September 2019

Today started with the arrival of Zakir at around 9:30. He was going to finish off the work of extending our roof terrace. The work was actually finished, but certain parts we were not satisfied of, would be fixed.

As the weather had approved from yesterday’s rain, I set up the sun sail and all cushions were taken out again. After Zakir left, Tove and I sat upstairs relaxing under the sun, reading a book. After a while, feeling quite tired, we decided to turn on the air con and have a nap in the bedroom. Woke up after about an hour just to find a thunderstorm had started and absolutely everything was wet. Yuk.

Had talked to Jan about getting out for a meal today. Just before going into the shower, doorbell rang and we had a visit from our beloved muhtar, Leyla. What a lovely surprise. Had a good chat with here before leaving. Leyla, hope to see you back soon.

After some discussion, we opted for going to Yaman’s restaurant. Yaman, is a local restaurant we like to support. The restaurant was run by mum and son Onur today. Long time since we actually have seen father Yaman. We miss him. Who else did we find there, other than the Robinson’s. Formed a long table and had an excellent meal together. Perfect end of the day. Rounded off the evening with a Turkish coffee, sade, and a brandy.

All are invited for a drink tomorrow on our new roof terrace to watch the sunset.
