Gold wedding at Støtvik Hotel

I haven’t had time to do so much of writing lately, but it has all calmed down now. On Saturday we were invited to Tove’s cousin Vigdis and Torgrims gold wedding. The venue was kept at Støtvik Hotel at Larkollen, abouit an hour south of us. The hotel has a stunning location on the shore of the Oslofjord, crowded by people during the summer. However, quite chilly now, more correct to say cold. Vigdis and Torgrims whole family was invited and nearly all present, just one missing.

We started the event by having a game of bowling in the hotel’s basement, and of course a beer or drink from the bar. The atmosphere was light and with increasing smiles and laughter.

After bowling we met up at Vigdis and Torgrim’s room for predinner drinks.

Pre dinner drinks

Dinner was served in the hotel, and was one of the better meals I’ve ever had. Of course, accompanied by good wines. Pictures of the courses follow below. Unfortunately I cannot post the picture of the desert as it looks like a chocolate penis, it was not.

The party carried out into the small hours, ended up in Vigdis and Torgrims’s room again, this time for drinks. Not sure why, but had a headache the day after.

On Sunday, while the younger generation used the hotel’s spa department, Tove and I had a walk around in the area to have a look at the surroundings.
