Bacalao, music and eco market

A few busy days have passed.

On Saturday we were invited to Leif and Sølvi’s apartment for a bacalao party. There were quite several of us and a mix of nationalities. English, Russian, Swedes, Turks and of course Norwegians.

Sølvi’s bacalao was better than any time and accompanied by enough wine. After the table, there were music. We have several talented musicians in the group, Dimitri, Dagfinn and Graeme all had sessions on guitar, playing, singing popular songs. After a while Dimitri disappeared, but returned with his electric piano. He really touched us all with his music.

I walked home during early hours.

Sunday started with strong winds, increasing during the day. Wind was so strong, my pergola on the roof was swaying. Ended up by having to take it down before the whole was blown away.

Sunday Oct 6th was also the day for the eco market in Büyükkonuk. The village is considered to be the entrance to Karpaz. This market is famous for local food, crafts, folkdance and conserts. We went up there with the intention of getting a new cutting board made from olive wood. No stalls with it though this time. Ended with supporting some locals dealing with bees, buying raw honey, honey soap, honey healing cream etc.
