Driving in the TRNC

Driving in the northern part of Cyprus can be challenging. TRNC has the highest traffic death rate in Europe. Cypriots is such a nice population. However, this is only until you put them behind the steering wheel of a car. Something weird happens and changes their personality. There are 2 type of drivers. One drives extremely slow and makes all other drivers mad. The next one, and the most of them, are the ones that have their own set of traffic rules. In addition they drive like mad, overtaking at any point. After driving here for 10 years without an accident, I feel quite proud. My record number of years without an accident , was nearly broken today. Below are a couple of examples recorded by my dashboard camera.
