A walk on the ridge
It’s been a boring time, being isolated with Covid. My wife said enough is enough when I started bicycling around on our roof terrace. Never had this strange feeling of crawling on the walls before.
However, this is now history. We are back into the negative stage (when it comes to Covid).
Before going further down in this story, just let me add a few comments about my server. I have worked long nights with getting the server into a secure mode, i.e using ssl certificates to let traffic to and from my blog be in an encrypted stage. This is when you see a padlock up to the left of the url (my web address), and will use https instead of http. I clearly see how much I have lost of knowledge in this area since I left my colleagues to be retired. Chris, old colleague, if you read this, get on the first plane, come down to Cyprus and give me moral support. I have been on the brink to give up. I will treat you well.
Now back to what I was actually going to write a few lines about, the walk on the Bacheli ridge.
The Bacheli Ridge is a dirt road on top of the mountains above the village of Bacheli. It’s a place where Tove and I like to have a walk, a kind of turn and return walk. There are just lovely views up here, as we kind of balance on the top with magnificent views to both sides of the mountain. You also just scarcely meet people. During the years we have been walking here, think we have met people around 3 times. During our isolation, this was the perfect place to go to.
The place is known for it’s flora of orchids, poppies, cyclamen etc. Unfortunately we are a bit late in the spring, but still beautiful. Below you will see a few pictures of what we found. I have as best as I could, tried to determine the species, but failed on lot of them. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi ya Helge !
Sounds like your going thru it with the isolation. Drinking heavily and tying flies helps me though 🙂
Would love to pop down there to help out but atm simply got too much on here.
The flora and fauna look amazing there!
Keep the blog going, I love it
