Today started with the arrival of Zakir at around 9:30. He was going to finish off the work of extending our roof terrace. The work was actually finished, but certain parts we were not satisfied of, would be fixed. As the weather had approved from yesterday’s rain, I set up the sun sail and all cushions were taken out again. After Zakir left, Tove and I sat upstairs relaxing under the sun, reading a book. After a while, feeling quite tired, we decided to turn on the air con and have a nap in the bedroom. Woke up after about an hour just to find a thunderstorm had started and…

Girne Amfiteatro – Killer Queen
Yesterday we went to the Girne Ampitheater for the Killer Queen consert. We were Jan and Liv Kjersti Sørlie, Linda, Derek and Jo Robinson together with Tove and I. Had taxi into town so all could relax. Started with a light meal in Manipenny and then on to the theatre. It was packed and the atmosphere electric. A thunderstorm passed by out in the sea with spectacular lightnings. Dominic, on his last performance in the north, warmed up before Killer Queen entered the stage. The performance was incredible. After the show we walked up to the Colony Hotel sky bar for a drink before returning home in the taxi.

We have had a few days where we have struggled with something looking like the Novovirus, but all are now fit and ready again. Unfortunately, this day is the end of Laila and Anja’s stay, so we drove them to Lanaca airport. We’ve had a marvellous time together, so, please, come back another time. After dropping them off at the airport, Tove and I took the motorway all the way up to Paralimni with the intention to pay Lidl a visit. Today we’ve been packing the suitcases for our travel to Cyprus. Believe it or not, but we’re struggling to meet the limit of 30 kgs per person. In the afternoon we had the joy of being part of the audience on the premiere of Annie. Quite special to have both son and grandchildren performing on stage. All did very well, congratulations to Espen, Elise and Estelle.

After a few days with increasing back problems, it was time to give the chiropractor a visit. One visit and the difference is unbelievable.
